What is WEBICC Panel?
- WEBICC Panel is an industrial Touch Panel PC (TPC) delivered with a Windows or Linux operating system and WEBICC SCADA software preinstalled, ready to be deployed in industrial automation projects by system integrators and machine builders.
- Unlike conventional or competing TPC/HMI solutions, which are typically limited to basic HMI visualization, WEBICC Panel provides a complete SCADA environment directly on the panel, simplifying system integration and reducing project deployment time.
- By integrating WEBICC SCADA, the panel becomes a true industrial workstation capable of process monitoring and control both locally and remotely. The system supports data acquisition and historical logging, alarm management, advanced process visualization, and secure remote access, fulfilling the requirements of modern industrial applications.
- System configuration and updates can be performed locally or remotely, without requiring additional software installation on engineering PCs or the use of special programming cables. Applications can be tested and optimized both on-site and remotely, significantly reducing commissioning time and maintenance efforts for integration teams.
The difference between a TPC and an HMI
- Today, many industrial applications use industrial touch panel PCs (TPCs – Touch Panel PCs) and human–machine interfaces (HMIs) to acquire, process, store, and visualize process data. Although both devices serve similar roles at the plant level, the differences between a TPC and a traditional HMI are not always obvious at first glance.
- A closer look reveals that a TPC typically offers superior hardware resources and connectivity: a higher number of physical ports, greater processing power, expanded storage capabilities, and the ability to run a full operating system. For this reason, many users tend to refer to a TPC simply as an “advanced HMI,” which can lead to confusion.
- In reality, a TPC equipped with WEBICC SCADA goes far beyond the functionality of a conventional HMI software. In addition to local process visualization and control, WEBICC SCADA provides advanced features such as data acquisition and historical logging, alarm management, remote access, integration with other systems, and the scalability required by modern industrial applications. As a result, a Touch Panel PC running WEBICC SCADA becomes a true industrial control center, not just an operator interface.
- Robust construction for challenging industrial environments.
- Equipped with a variety of communication ports: serial ports, USB, dual Ethernet.
- Pre-installed with licensed WEBICC SCADA, tailored to the application's size, in either standard or professional versions.
- Equipped with a web server, allowing remote access from any Internet-connected smart device.
- In the professional WEBICC version, a professional report generator is pre-installed, with its interface also web-based, enabling remote report viewing.
- Can be connected to a large monitor or smart TV, creating a control center in addition to local touchscreen operation.
- Resistive, capacitive, or non-touch touchscreen options.
Secure communication between site and cloud via VPN or encrypted tunnels
HTTPS with SSL/TLS encryption for all web access
User authentication and role‑based access control
Isolated cloud instances per customer

The Challenge for SCADA Integrators
Case study
The Solution: WEBICC Panel
In many automation projects, integrators are required to:
- install dedicated software to configure HMIs;
- use special and often costly cables to transfer applications to HMIs;
- re-transfer the project to the panel after every software modification;
- perform testing only on-site, in the field.
- limitations of the integrated software
This process consumes time, requires travel, and increases overall project costs.
WEBICC Panel is an industrial Panel PC with WEBICC SCADA preinstalled, ready to be used in industrial projects.
With WEBICC Panel:
- the application can be configured locally or remotely, without installing additional software on other PCs;
- no special cables are required for application transfer — standard local networks or internet connections are used;
- software changes become available immediately without manual project re-transfer;
- testing and optimization can be performed both locally and remotely.
Result: faster commissioning, fewer on-site interventions, and reduced integration costs.

CS&RT(Configuration and Runtime)
HMI (Human Machine Interface) is a user interface or dashboard that connects a person to a machine, system or device. While the term can technically be applied to any screen that allows a user to interact with a device, HMI is most commonly used in the context of an industrial process.
It works in a different way, an HMI uses a certain amount of data and represents it visually, on a local basis, allowing for a better understanding and a more efficient supervision process. On the other hand, SCADA systems are focused on control system operations and have huge data collection capacity.
Although the two systems often work together, it is possible to use HMI without SCADA, as HMI provides a graphical user interface to locally control and monitor machines, while SCADA is designed to provide more comprehensive monitoring solutions on larger networks of locally and remotely connected machines.
One of the key differences between a PLC and an HMI is their primary function. While a PLC is responsible for executing control logic and managing inputs and outputs, an HMI focuses on providing a user-friendly interface for operators to interact with the system.
PLCs are designed for real-time control tasks, controlling individual devices or small-scale processes, while SCADA systems provide a higher level of supervision, data acquisition, and analysis for large-scale industrial processes.
